FAQ’s - Full Color Products
What types of files can I send to Pickle Print?
You may send .jpg, .jpeg, .psd, .tif, .eps, .ai, .pdf, .png. We recommend saving as a .PDF with all fonts outlined.
What color mode should my files be?
You should always start and finish your design in CMYK color mode. There is a significant chance that you WILL see a color shift if you send a file in RGB mode as we convert all full-color files to CMYK for printing.
What resolution should my file be?
All images need to be at least 300 dpi. If you send a file that is less than 300 dpi, the quality of your final product will be sacrificed.
How should I set up my bleed and crop marks?
Please use the Pickle Print approved templates from our Resources menu. Using these templates will ensure your job gets printed correctly and as efficiently as possible.
Does Pickle Print accept borders on job?
Yes, but please be aware that we need to allow 1/16 of an inch for cutting error. This could mean that your border does not end up 100% even on all edges.
Can I submit multiple files in one document?
No. We need to have each printed side in a separate file.
How can I make sure that my blues do not come out purple?
When using a blue in your design, always make sure to leave at least a 30% difference in your Cyan and Magenta values. For instance: C-100 M-70 Y-0 K-0
How can I get the richest black possible?
For our full-color products, we recommend using C-60 M-40 Y-40 K-100. This will give you a deep, rich, black.
